Not a good substitute for brined olives

I got these hoping that because they were green olives, they might taste more like something that would be on an antipasti plate. Unfortunately, although these are perfectly good as far as canned olives go, the taste is almost identical to canned black olives - a little sweet, a little salty, and without the meatiness or nuance that "real" olives have.
