First effort went well - only used 1/2 of the chili packet - it was plenty hot. Next time I will start with 1/3 and add touch more if necessary.️♂️
Not that great, dried beans are horrible, there are way better chili fixins.spices are ok (nothing to write home about) just don't buy this.
My experience was not good. Healthy Heart Market needs to tell the whole story when writing copy for their products. It tells you to add a pound of meat, an onion, a 28 ounce can of tomatoes and you have yourself a whoopin great bowl of chili in only 20 minutes. What they conveniently forgot to tell us folks, was that the recipe also calls for the addition of 2 teaspoons of salt. For those of us counting salt mg that little addition adds a whoopin 4,600 mg of sodium. So by the time you add the sodium in the beef, tomatoes, and the mix, you end up at around 900mg per serving. So as their copy reads," this very low sodium chili mix has almost everything you need to make a fantastic 1/2 gallon of chili." It should say makes a fantastic 1/2 gallon of salt. Don't even think of asking for seconds. Sorry Healthy Heart Market you get a bad grade on this one!
It was great, I only used one chili pack, that was just the right heat
