We have been on a low-sodium kick for about 6 months, trying to stay within recommended sodium guidelines. That is virtually impossible with sodium being so high in most items. We love tacos and can make the "fixins" low-sodium, but it was impossible to find taco shells with no or even low sodium. EUREKA! We have found them and they were great. Also - they had wide openings instead of what you normally find with openings so small you couldn't stuff them well without breaking the shells. WE LOVE OUR GARDEN OF EATIN' TACO SHELLS!
I don’t use these for tacos but instead for nachos, chips and dip and any kind of crunchy crumble. I also add them to egg white migas for crunch in the migas and then put the migas on half a shell for serving.
Can't beat these! So good naturally with nice flavor and lots of crisp and crunch! They don't break too easily when filling them. We even eat veggie tacos in them! And no sodium. Just perfect!
