This really isn't a make and eat soup. The dehydrated mix needs to be cooked twice as long as the packaging says, and then it needs to sit overnight before it reconstitutes completely. Also rather bland, I ended up adding Pureed beef to it, some leek powder and finally needed Worchester sauce added to each bowl when reheating to make it palatable. I doubt I will reorder.
I made this for my 90 year old mother who has congestive heart failure. She absolutely loves it and it was nice to give her something new. I am very grateful to your company and the salt free products. It is a godsend for me when I’m cooking for her.
I added fresh leeks (2), no salt chicken broth (6 packets for 6 cups water), red potatoes (1 1/2 pounds) and ground turkey (40 ounces) to this soup mix and it gave us a hearty meal but not too much sodium. With the items I added I had nine servings. You can also add kale, spinach while it's cooking. Only drawback - no power cooker/crockpot - but a plus if you have 30 minutes before you want to eat you can get this done without crockpots or other slow cookers. Other varieties of soup have same info about no slow cookers.
